CASL Finals 2008

This past weekend was the final event for the CASL skate series,held at the Vans Skate park @ The Block of Orange.The year ended very good for the boyz from woodz, the standings are as follows.4th place was Matt Harvey,3rd place Roy canwright,and bringing home the bacon,1st place Zander “Z-man” Gabriel from Ojai.All these guys just rip it up, day in and day out,congratulations !!!
The next stop for us will be December 6th @ Woodzward West for the annual South Vs North state Championship,meet us there for some sick skating and allot of fun.

Saturday night October 11 was the Keep- A- Breast fundraiser at the Air Condition Lounge in Venice,ca.The evening included a killer performance by the Insect Surfers,and live and silent auctions for some very cool swag.The coolest thing was definitely the torso cast of surfers Kassia Meador,Lisa Anderson,Julie cox, Katherine,Hatzikian,and Cheree Miller,all hand painted by renowned artist Phil Roberts & Rich Rietveld,Skip Engblom,Jason Baffa,and Linda Newman Boughton.

Woodz International rolled into to Woodward West for a little shredding of the wood on four wheels which is a lot cheaper than gas.Sunday was street time and the big boys were there to destroy Woodward again.The three amigos from Woodz, Roy canwright,Matt Harvey,and Zander “Z-man” Gabriel where ready to show Stallion Springs whats up.Boo Johnson from Powell who is one of the sickest skaters on the planet was ready to take down the Woodz crew.well some days you win and some days you loose,and today Woodz won big.1st place, Zander “Z-Man” gabriel was perfect on ever trick,2nd Matt Harvey what can I say this kid is won of the most exciting skaters I have seen in a long time going big ever time .Another killer comp for the Woodz crew.Next stop is Malibu,Ca and the world famous Woodz and friends mini ramp tour 2008 on Aug 30 & 31,bring the stick,skate,and party with the beautiful people in Malibu.

High five to the Ojai skate team Zander,Jamey,JT,Dylan & Dawson for taking second place in the NHSSA.Zander and JT will also be competting in X Games 14 next month.
